Hi Everyone~
I have a question about skin that maybe someone can help me with.
I have had these little red bumps behind both of my arms for as long as I can remember. They kind of look like little pimples or whiteheads. It doesn't itch or hurt or bother me at all really except that I don't know what it is. It's never spread or gotten worse.
At first I thought maybe I was alergic to laundry detergent so I only used half as much or I always used the perfume and dye-free detergent. Now I don't think detergent has anything to do with it.
If anyone has any idea what they are and if there is any way to get rid of them your advice would be greatly appriciated!
Thank you!

A lot of people have these. I get a few (on my left arm only, whats up with that) and exfoliating takes care of them. I use a sugar scrub from Bath & Body Works...the sugar is a gentle exfoliator & there is some oil in the mixture to moisturize. Don't scrub too hard, be really gentle. Mine cleared up in about 2 weeks. Good luck!

Yes it did clear up entirely, though it wasn't too bad to begin with. The scrub from B&B Works is kinda rough at first but it literally melts in the heat of the shower...and the oil from the scrub leaves the area moisturized. Its kinda expensive, I'd hate for it not to work for you...wish I could give you some to try :D

Hi Sad,
I had the same condition up until about a year ago. What you most likely have is a skin condition known as Keratosis Pilaris - you can research it on the web and find the best treatment for yourself.
I do a lot of electrolysis hair removal, and I think the electrolysis I did on my arms caused a lot of the bumps to go away. To make a long story short, what happens is the pores get easily clogged from hair follicles and build these pimple-like bumps. So for me, electrolysis really helped.
Look into though, as there are other treatments.
