HI everyone
ok my MRI didn't show any significant changes in the
past 5 years, SO I seen a Neurologist the other day,
he wants me to be tested for peripheral neuropathy
because my feet and legs have been just literally
killing me..I guess something in your back (nerves)
can also cause nerve pain in your legs and feet...???
my back still kills me as well, but my feet and legs
don't hurt quite as bad on somedays as like other days..
is there a reason for this ? does the pain (IF i do have
this peripheral neuropathy) come and go ? like
worse some days ? better other days ?? (more tolerable is what I mean)
also I have noticed too, that when it is hot outside
my feet and legs hurt so much more, than if it was cool out...
also depends on how long I am on my feet..(which doesn't take
long for them to start hurting)..seems the tingling feeling is
always in my feet, but the pain is different on somedays..

hopefully someone can shed some light for me...
((HUGS)) to all
GraN

Hi Gran,

I have pain in my feet and feels like I was 9 months pregnant and need to get off of them. My legs always feel weak and tired feeling. I also have pins and needles in my feet, and my hands. I was diagnosed with lumbar stenosis. I am going to have another MRI to check the rest of the spine because of the arm and hand symptoms. I wish I had more answers for you, but I am still trying to figure this whole thing out.

I do know my feet hurt alot more when the weather is hot out, and they also swell. The winter they hurt too, but not as bad as when the weather is warmer.

Peripheral neuropathy may have nothing to do with your back at all. Perhaps your doctor wants to check out the nerves located in your feet and legs not your back. Diabetics often suffer with peripheral neuropathy.

I will tell you one of the reasons that pain increases on damp humid days is that scar tissue swells. So if you have any scar tissue in your back it most certainly will increase pain with the weather as it swells and puts more pressure on sensitive nerves.

thanks for your replies...I have been tested for diabetes and don't have that..
How would I have scar tissue in my back if I have never had surgery ?
also like in the above post from flameglo my feet and legs also hurt in the winter time but not like in the summer....I can't wait to ask my Dr if it isn't neuropathy then what in the world could it be ??
I Have had a few good days here latley (maybe the pain pills are working)...it's like somedays I feel I could climb a mountain and other days I feel like the mountain fell on me :(
I'm also gonna have him test me for fybromyalgia (?)..my sis and Mom have this-could this be causing alot of my aches and pains as well ??

thanks again
hope you all have a good day

I reread your post and fibro did come to mind. Especially all the generalized pain. Hope you get some help soon.
