I took them for about a month or so and saw no difference in my weight. I did, however, notice they made my heart hurt, made my skin itch, gave me headaches, and I feel that they have affected my digestive system altogether. I get pains I never used to get in my intestines, and my skin itches even now...and I stopped taking the pills about 6 months ago. I advise against them, and Im not againgst much...
BTW: I have tried several other diety pills (Hydroxycut, Xenadrin, Trimspa, to name a couple) and have never experienced such negetive side affects.

A friend of mine at work took them for energy, and she almost had a heart attack. Her blood pressure was like 160/104 and she was having chest pains. Her doctor told her never to take them again, and to throw them away. She was scared. They are almost like ephedra, in the way that they cause jitters, tremors, heart palpatations, high blood pressure, etc. If your blood pressure runs any higher than normal usually, I wouldn't take them. It's not worth the risk.

Just wanted to let you know my experience with it. . . .Not fun. I was only taking 1 pill twice a day which is less than the recommended dosage, but it made me shaky, nervous and nauseaus (sp). I tried Stacker-2 and had the same problem--VERY shaky and jittery. The only thing I've found that actually curbs my appetite and gives me a little ambition/energy (but not too much) is Xtreme Lean by Nature's Bounty. Even with those I only take 1/2 the dosage (1 pill instead of 2. twice a day) but I feel great. I even got back on the excercise bike again. I don't get jittery and stuff, but I don't want to take naps all the time either. It's just a nice happy medium I guess.
I am down about 13 lbs so far. 135 and still trying. has anyone heard about a leek soup for a cleansing/lose water weight thing? It was in a magazine in the waiting rm at the dr's office. Take 2 lbs leeks, cover w/water...simmer for 20-30 min. Drink the broth 1 cup every 2 hrs, when hungry-eat 1/2 c of the leeks. It said to do that for 2 days, then have a regular/light dinner on the second night. Has anyone tried that?

Sounds like you were allergic to something in the bottle or you took to many pills.
Anyway for the money there are much better options than zantrex.

ZANTREX-3 's active ingredient is caffeine. If you are a heavy coffee drinker you are getting FAR more than the Zantrex will give you and you'll probably notice nothing.
If you DON'T get caffeine from other sorces, you will get "caffeinism", higher BP, jitteriness, insomnia, the works...just like too much coffee.
Zantrex 3 Side Effects
Zantrex 3 side effects are identical to those associated with excessive caffeine consumption (Zantrex is primarily marketed as a "proprietary xanthine-based stimulant", but xanthine is simply caffeine). You may be interested to know that one serving of Zantrex 3 will provide you with more caffeine than you'd obtain from 3 cups of coffee -- so caffeine-related side effects may be quite prominent in some people.
Caffeine is mildly thermogenic and it tends to speed up the metabolism and thus burn more calories but it's a lot cheaper and tastier to get it from coffee and tea than to buy PILLS that are still trading on the fact that they WORKED when they had PPCA, and EPHEDRA...all since banned.
Summary opinion: ZANTREX-3 is a waste of money.

Huh??
You can buy 100 225mg caffeine pills for like $7 which is probably your average cubicle monkey's daily spending on starbucks...
Also this is a weight loss forum, so drinking coffee is just empty calories while pills are not.
Zantrex sucks anyway...if I can recommend products without being banned I'd say get some redline by VPX, scorch by man, MAYBE lipo-6 but the previous two are probably better and throw in some ephedra HCL any of them as long as it doesnt have Tyramine in it(like scorch). Sesathin is also good just by itself.

Anyone who gets his coffee at Starbucks deserves what he gets. If I drank all my coffee at Starbucks, it would set me back $20 a day...instead of about $10 a MONTH.
I use an old technique that predates Starbucks...old timers might remember the thing called a coffee pot. Most homes had one in the old days! The Starbucks bunnies can probaly see one in the Smithsonian.

I have written about this somewhere else too, but I can not find it by searching so I will give you the condensed version :-)
I have taken Zenadrine, Hydroxycut, Trimspa and Vitamin Shoppe store brand "energy" or "weightloss" pills both with and without ephedra and I must say that Zantrex-3 is by far the WORST pill I have ever taken.
I drink coffee pretty regularly and have never felt so crappy in my life. I felt sick all the time and I had to eat something to soothe my stomach (sort of defeats the purpose dont you think!?) plus I didn't have any desire to go to the gym feeling so sick and went home most nights and layed on the couch until I felt better.
I stopped taking them and went back to one cup of coffee in the AM and a SF redbull in the afternoon. It keeps me energized but not feeling disgusting and I think it is better overall.
If I had to recomend a pill (which I don't think they really work except to mentally keep you going) I would say the Zenadrine 8 hour pill is the best. I do not feel jittery or sick when I take it and it really does last 8 hours (until you start to get used to it, then you have to take two or stop and let your body go back to normal)
