Is it possible to lose 80 lbs in seven months. If anyone has been able to do this please let me know exactly how you did it. Just had a baby and hubby will be home in Jan. I want to look my best.

Post partum should be easier than otherwise. Are you breastfeeding? That will help alot.

Why not set a reasonable goal? If you are losing the healthy way with 1-2 pounds weekly. You can lose 5 to 10 pounds monthly. So start with saying you want to lose 40 lbs in 7 months. Strive for more but don't set yourself up for failure. I lost 10 lbs (water weight) my first month starting in May. It is now mid June and I've only lost 3 lbs with a changed diet and exercise 45 minutes 5 days a week. Weight takes time to lose. Slow and steady is healthier.

I lost a lot of weight after my son's birth and I've always regretted it. I did it by eating very little and exercising a lot. I felt so rotten that I didn't enjoy his first year very much, and I'll never get that time back. Maybe you should shoot for 40 pounds instead of 80. That's a loss of about 1 1/3 pounds per week, which should be quite manageable. :)

No, I do not think it is possible to lose 80 pounds in 7 months unless you are morbidly obese. And then it should be done in a medically supervised setting.

If you are very strict and work hard you can lose about 60 pounds in that time. 80 is possible if you are unhealthy about it, but get your diet and cardio in order and maybe the aid of some fat burning supps and shoot for 60.

Good grief, I agree with the others, hon, give yourself a REALISTIC goal. You're only setting yourself up for failure with that one.
