I know torso jump sounds like a new dance...ha! But it's not nearly so much fun as dancing!
Just wanted to ask if any of you have had sudden, sharp pain hit ANYWHERE in your torso (in me, it's most often in my back) that causes you to be involuntarily thrust forward...?
It's not just painful..it's embarassing!
Also...anyone dealt with Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia? How is that different from TN?
I have moved up the date to see my Neuro. We have lots to discuss this visit!

Hi Kelli,
Oh yes, I get that ALL the time. I can just be sitting around and BAM! I jump suddenly. These pains come out of nowhere!

Kelli, I know I shouldn't, but I'm laughing. When I acknowledged my tremor 10 years ago (thought no one had noticed) a friend said he thought I was just expressing myself through interpretive dance.
It's a little spooky to me, but I had several sudden sharp pains this afternoon walking home from work. Spooky because I thought, "Why did THAT happen?" and then you bring it up...It happens from time to time, I say "ow, ow" and stagger. Then it stops.

Go ahead and laugh, Lilc...I laugh at it myself, when it doesn't hurt, anyway! You GOTTA have a sense of humor to endure MS!! LOL! The first time a family member saw my "torso jump," they were so shocked that it made me chuckle!
