Is there an amount of time you have to wait to take a shower/shave after being in the tanning bed?

I just got back from the tanning salon, and they said it's best to wait 6-8 hours, especially if you use a bronzing lotion before, which is what I do. I had been going in the mornings and coming home and taking a shower. Oh well!

If it's from tanning bed you should wait about 4 hours cause the water will slow down the tanning process. If it's like the mystic tan then you should wait 6-8 hours or just wait till next day to ensure you get the max.

I usually shower b4 I go that way I can apply the tanning lotion stuff, hit the bed for 15-20min then go on with my day. I sometimes dont even shower (sorry if that seems sick) but at least it's working.

definately dont shower 2 hrs before or 2 hrs after you tan, but be sure to exfoliate before you tan then wait a few days after to exfoliate again because if you shower after you tan, then youre loosing the skin cells that just got tanned. to keep tan longer be sure to use a moisturizer.

I asked at my tanning salon, and they said to wait at least an hour. Since I tan later at night and I always smell really bad after tanning (sweating) I just have to shower before going to bed. I still have gotten dark tho. It doesn't seem to have hurt at all.
