ok she lives with her 45 yr old son - she has just retired from work and needs to apply for disability....so how do they look at his income in order for her to be eligable ??
will she might not be eligable because he lives there and has a so so pretty good income ??

I also forgot to mention that when she called to get the papers to
fill out for disability she was told that she could fill them out online !
she doesn't have a computer......

They sent me the papers to fill out - now why wouldn't they send them to her ??

Hi,

If I am understanding your post right- you are saying that your friend just retired from work and is needing to apply for disability and also that she lives with her 45 year old son.
I would assume that she is of retirement age--- and should be applying for standard social security. If that is the case- she could not receive disability- she would receive standard social security for ages 65+.
If I intrepreted this wrong, please let me know so I can help answer your question.
