My husband and I are going to start trying to have a baby. I went off of the pill 30 days ago. So far my period is 2 days late from when it would usually start. I know this is normal, but how long does it usually take for it to come back?

I have been taking bc pills for 5 years. I went off of my pills a couple years ago and it took a little over 2 months for my period to come back.

I just recently came of bc and I got my period the first month right after I stopped. I was taking birth control for about 8 months.

Periods are often irregular for a while after stopping the pill because it takes your body a while to realise it isn't being given hormones any more and that it has to start making its own again.
For some women, it only takes one or two months for their periods to come back but for others it takes a bit longer. There's no "universal" time, unfortunately, but it should not be too long. Good luck!

So here is my next question: Is it even possible to get pregnant without even having that first period?
