Dear HowUKnow: SHare my story? GOd, you don't have that much time and I don't think the Heatlhboards would let me take all the space I would need. But, briefly, I have bee + for 11 yrs. I found out that I was postive in 1994 after deciding to have a routine test done. I had never been tested before. My doctor had determined that I had been infected maybe 10 or 11 yrs before my initial test. At the time I was tested, my T-cell count was 200 and has fluctuated between 94-200 for the past 11 yrs. My viral load is, and always has been undetectible. I take routine medications including Epivir (one tablet twice a day), Viread (one table once a day), Agenerase (4 capusles twice a day) and Norvir (one capsule twice a day). Fortunately, I have never been ill as a result of being HIV+. No illness, no hospitalization, lots of anxiety, fear, despair, depression, etc.

What do I know? I know that there are a lot of us who are living with this disease and living quite well. I have a full time, high stress job, a family, and good friends. I know that some people would kill for my life. And I know that I am so lucky. I have learned never to take anything for granted. I know that these posts are one of the real ways that I can reach out to others who are in the midst of their own fear and anxiety and that I can help them.

There are others who, I'm sure, will respond to you here. Listen to their stories. They are the truly miraculous ones. Anyway, that's it briefly. I know there's tons of other stuff you want to know so let me know how I can help. Bless you. Chris
