Hi there! Yes, I had a tummy tuck AND liposuction about 2 years ago. The abdominoplasty was great but really really major. I have had 4 children and this was worse than having any kid (and my last one was 12lbs.6oz.!!). I had very stretched-out muscles and a protruding tummy that was genetically given to me by my grandmother! I could do 500 situps a day and no help. The muscles had become quite relaxed from the babies. I don't know if you want all the gorey details, but basically, the doc took 30 lbs. of flab off, redid my belly button, stretched the muscles and tendons underneath the skin really tight. It's the best part of my body. Now if they could only do this to the butt.... :bouncing:
The liposuction was a completely different story and for me absolutely a horrible experience.
Hope this helps!! :D

Princes-- thanks so much for responding. Well, I do have some questions if you don't mind? First, your belly button. It's man made, how does it feel? Does it look and feel like your real one? I know that the incision feels really tight after surgery, how long until the incision closes enough to feel normal, and not so tight and sore? Okay thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you...bye for now

Hi JAG - Well, my belly button looks great! It is an "inny" and looks completely natural. The thing is that it was a bit hard to get used to since I was born with a different-looking one. There were tiny little sutures all around the circumference of the belly button which the doc removed when I had the big stitches from the tummy tuck removed. The belly button is nice and tight since all the surrounding skin is nice and tight. If I look dead center into a mirror, the only thing is that the bb is not right in the middle of my body, just a bit, a very tiny bit, off to the right. Is that me just expecting perfection? Well, after paying what I did for this little procedure (most insurance co. don't pay for it since it is considered cosmetic although in my case it was affecting my posture), I expected perfection!! :p
Hope this helps you out! :angel:Any more questions, just ask!!! Are you thinking about doing this?

I also have thought about a tummy tuck. I had twins 3 years ago, and although I have lost all the weight, my lower stomach remains loose and wrinkled. It is horrible when I bend over in a bikini.
I am getting breast augmenation soon, considering a buttocks implant or lift, and also considering a tummy tuck. Where do I draw the line!!!! I am not vain, but starting to scare myself!
How bad is your stomach? My friends, husband, etc. don't think it bad, but I can't stand it. I don't like wearing shirts that show my midriff, etc. Are you worried about the scar?

Thanks again for responding. Good news about the belly button, but you didn't mention the incision. How it's super tight and sore. For how long? When does that stop? Okay well, to the other person considering surgery, I am all for surgery that makes you feel better. I had my nose done in 94 and it was the best money that I have ever spent! Look forward to hearing from you...bye for now.
