chatty8484 06-18-2005, 07:39 PM Does anyone know? Thanks a bunch :) Chatty CARAT414 06-18-2005, 10:27 PM Well when I found out that I lost all my teeth in the surgery, and I was going to need dentures I asked about the implants. I was told for my whole mouth 30 teeth, it would run about 57,000.00. Now I have other issues involved in that so that will alter the price. The area of the country alters it greatly. I have a friend that pays alot less for dental in SC and another who pays alot more then me in Hawaii. And I am sure the amount of specialty schooling the dentist himself/herself has had effects the price. For my bottom 4 implants, two mini and two regular are going to cost me 5700.00. How many you need with dentures depends on your bones, jawline and the amount of teeth you may have already existing. I hope that this helped some. Casey wmkcolors 06-18-2005, 10:51 PM The price can vary. I had 6 upper implants placed for $8000. That doesn't include what will be fitted onto the implants. Sometimes, depending on the quality of your gum ridges, you can anchor an overdenture onto 4 implants each, on the top and the bottom. I'd go for a consultation and see what the dentist offers. Just make sure to go to a periodontist or oral surgeon or specialized dentist that has alot of experience with implants. chatty8484 06-19-2005, 12:55 AM Thank you:) Casey, $57000.00 for the whole mouth!!! Wow well I guess I'll be eventually owning a nice mouth and living in a box!! LOL CARAT414 06-19-2005, 02:06 AM Nobody said that you get a box, the box is extra. LOL Now you know why I am wearing dentures.. The thing that gets me my dental insurance won't pay because its implants are cosmetic in there eyes, and my medical insurance won't cover because they are a dental item. The fact that I need the teeth was because of a medical reason is secondary. Gosh I hate insurance companies. Casey chatty8484 06-19-2005, 03:34 AM LOL well I guess I'll just have to live in my mouth :) I know insurance companies are not fair!! Mine was a medical reason I needed my teeth out before I dropped dead from infection and had to fight them and in the end they paid 2800 and I paid 800 for the surgery to pull them. If they didn't pay that I wouldn't of been able to afford it. Then the dentures were 1000 and I paid all of it. But ya they SUCK!! lol robin |
