Hi, I am new to this "posting" thing, but I really need some help... The doctor recently told me that I may have "Endometriosis", I'm 18 and freaking out... i started reading about it and I just dont know what to think. I also decided to check myself out "downthere", because I never had before.. There is a lump inside about 2 and a half inches (about the size of a mediom plum). Is this a organ? I'm embarrassed to ask anyone....

endometriosis is nothing to really be "scared" about....meaning, you wont die from it. it is just a bad disease that causes your menstrual cycles to be miserable with pain. and it can cause problems being able to conceive. as far as the lump...i would assume that the dr has already "looked down there"??? if so, then apparently its nothing for you to be concerned with.....if they havent given you an exam there....maybe you need to have it looked into. hope this helps
