Thanks to all who responded to my questions about possibly being in perimenopause.
I currently have an internist as my family doctor. Is there any advantage to seeing a gynocologist for perimenopausal issues, as opposed to the internist?
This is new ground for me...I just want some answers, and some solutions that I might try to remedy some problems..
Thanks!

I think the doc you feel more comfortable with would be better suited....though a gyn sees more female-specific issues day to day.
I have a family doc and a gyn and switch off which I go to for the pap smear.
WHen I have any real "female" type worries, I go to my gyn.
