I have been reading alot of your posts for some time and I have to say it is very concerning to see how people can see any symptom after a potentially risky encounter and immediately jump to the conclusion that it is HIV related. It leaves me wondering one thing. With all the other possible STD's that are out there that can mimic many of the same symptoms that HIV can cause are people also getting tested for these along with HIV?

Typically they are. Espcially if they go to a physician and get the physician to counsel them and write orders for the test. I think though that the other STDs have distinct sypmtoms that are unique to that disease in and of itself. For example, the symptoms for gonnorhea are different that HIV sypmtoms because of the "pain upon urination" and "discharge" issues. Illnesses like the flu, for example, mimic HIV (the fatigue, the runny nose, etc.) and that's where people get crazy. chris
