Hi everyone! Here's my stats:
Male
6ft 3in
310 pounds
Yesterday I had my very first Father's Day as a father! My wife and I had a son in November and I realized that "its time" to do something about my weight. I've got myself in the mind-set to do it. I've got the best inspiration in the world: My son Cameron. :)
Here's what i'm gonna do. Reduce my calorie intake and start kickboxing. That's it!!!
I'll update everyone next Monday morning on my weightloss. (Not a diet, i hate that word!!)

Cool, good luck with your lifestyle change.
Sometimes just reducing calories isn't enough. It's more important on which types of foods the calories are comming from than the calories themselves. What will you be eating?

1) I'm giving up coffee. (ouch)
2) Giving up all junk food (candy, donuts, etc....)
3) I'm gonna eat mini meals throughout the day (eat every 2 hours) examples: tuna, ham, or a roast beef sandwich (1 slice of whole wheat bread). 1/2 banana as a mini meal. Pretty much anything low calorie but only eat small portions.
4) Because eating at night is my downfall, i'll eat a nice size salad with chicken, ham or whatever as protein and very little low fat salad dressing.
