Out of interest, is there any good cardio exercises I can do in my own home?

I have a decent garden, though not really good enough to do serious jogging. I also have steps if that helps!

Cheers,

Euan!

Do you have a VCR/DVD player?? If you do then there are some great workout videos out there. Kathy Smith is a good start.

Get a jumprope!!! It will get your heartbeat up there and provides great cardio!!!

I know hes cheesy but I like to do Richard Simmons (with the blinds closed and nobody home!) Its easy to get into the Sweatin' To The Oldies because its like dancing. You can find them on ebay for really cheap too.

*anything* that gets and keeps heart rate up for 20-60 minutes at a time is good cardio. Use what you have available, get a jump rope, do jumping jacks, run stairs, get a dvd... anything is good. :)

Jumping rope would be great to do in your garden. However, you say there isn't much room for jogging...why not jog outside of your garden? Maybe you can run around your neighborhood or at a local park. Also there are numerous VHS/DVD choices to chose from for at-home workouts.
