Im currently on 50mg of zoloft. I have been on it for about 4 weeks now. I have been taking it 1/2 at noon and 1/2 at midnight. I notice i still have a little anxiety, not all gone yet. I also take .25mg xanax 3x a day. is there a difference if i take the zoloft halved the way i do vs taking 50mg all at once?

I don't think so. I only take half of 25 mg a day. I am very sensitive to zoloft. I took it many years ago for PMS and now I am on it for basically the same thing now. I also take Xanax for a Panic Disorder that I have had off and on for 17 years but under control now. I believe the lower the dose of Zoloft was the best for me because Zoloft CAN cause anxiety. I know in my situation it was best for the anxiety all the way around to not take but just a small amount and no side effects!

Zoloft helped me at a really low dose (25-50 mg) for a year and a half, and then I needed to increase it desperately. I was soooo tired on 50-75 mg, and I didn't feel like myself until I started on 100-150 mg. I'm now on 200 mg and feeling great, like I did when I first started taking it in 2003. I still have anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD, but the Zoloft does help me a lot.
