my mother was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. she was wondering what was the cause of rheumatoid arthritis but her doctor wasn't able to answer that. her doctor prescribe her to take Meloxicam once a day to ease the pain.

Is there no way to cure rheumatoid arthritis? What is the cause of this ailment?

Thank you for any advice that you can give.

from what i hear there is no known reason why arthritis happens, and for cure, it can go away and it could stay with you, not for certain.

Rheumatoid arthritis is caused when your immune system mistakenly attacks your joints, causing pain, inflammation and damage. No one knows what causes and there is no cure but there are medications that can help control it. A worse problem at times than the joint pain is the fatigue that goes with RA. Your mom needs lots of support.
