i have heard alot of people break out from this pill, i would like to know peoples experience with this pill, as i was just put on it cuz i am starting accutane next month. i don't want to take a birth control that will make me break out worse then i already am (which is BAD)! thanks :)

Regular Ortho Tri-Cyclen is indicated and approved for the treatment of acne. There are many women who use it for acne purposes only, and have much success. However, this isn't to say that you won't break out, however, considering you're going to be using Accutane, I don't think that you'll have a problem. Just remember that acne can actually get worse when first starting the pill and Accutane, so give it time.

I had major breaking out on OTC lo. But my body prefers the pills that have the same hormone every day and the OTC lo has different levels every week.

Nah I was on it for a year and it didnt do anything for me other then give me a son lol always use back up!

I have been using this since last October and it did wonders for my skin. It cleared up every spot I had and I haven't had one since!!!

I'm a post accutaner and I'm using OTC not the low one. Is this the first time you use birth control? I used this OTC before accutane and it cleared my back acne beautifully and i wished i had used it for more time to see if it cleared my face and that way I wouldn't have used the accutane. When on accutane i did not used birth control because i planned on being abstinent. Accutane is too scary to risk having a child while on it. Definetly have a backup! Good luck in your accutane course. Remember to be weary on the side effects. This is the strongest drug you could have ever possibly take in your life. It's a chemotherapy drug and what impact it will have in your future no one knows. What can I tell you myself I have had ibs problems since I finished and I was found a bone calcification on my right hip.

I had alot of breaking out on it... i even got the break outs on my arms and legs. since i went off it has started to clear up

i broke out so bad i HAD to go on accutane. I also ganed 35 pounds after 6 months of usage.

i broke out so badly on it that i actually HAD to go on accutane. Also, I gained 35lbs after using it for 6 months.
