Colleen04 06-22-2005, 11:01 AM Which type of BC has less side effects? The same level hormone all month of 3 different levels of hormone each month? babygirl2005_21 06-22-2005, 11:20 AM I think the same level all throught the month is the only way to go! I have tried the ones w/ different levels like Ortho Tri Cyclen lo and it was terrible. But everyone is different so I really don't know how your body would react I just know I like the same level only. Colleen04 06-22-2005, 12:54 PM I'm on Estrostep FE right now (3rd pack) and these hormones are killing me. I've been nothing but nauses amd I've just had enough. I am going to switch, but I'm not quite sure which same hormone BC is the best. Daisies4monkeys 06-22-2005, 04:54 PM It depends on the woman. For some, the varying levels of hormones in triphasic pills give them the least amount of side effects, whereas for others, the same level of hormone throughout the month that is in monophasic pills suits their needs better. Talk to your doctor and tell her you want to try a monophasic pill, since you feel the estrostep is not working for you. He or she may tell you to wait until you've taken the fourth pack, however, as it generally takes at LEAST three months (three full packs) on the pill before your body is totally adjusted to it. The nausea generally subsides after the third month, but if it is really bothering you, tell your doctor WHY you want to switch, exactly what your side effects are, and ask them which pill they recommend for you. |
