please if anyone has experienced this or knows what it could be please give me your feedback because im am very nervous. About 8 months ago i noticed that my neck clicks in my cervical spine at the base of my head. everysingle time i rotate my head to the right. i went to three doctors who ended up telling me its from my anxiety or its just tight muscles. It always does it everysingle time there hasnt been a moment when it doesnt. But its only with right rotataion. I also have a feeling of lightheadedness but i think it might be do to my anxiety disorder. Im just scared that this will lead to a stroke or something and im only 22. im constantly worried about this to the point that i get panic attacks from just thinking about it

Hi ptadude15,
I would suggest that maybe you go see a chiropractor. It could just be that you need to be re-aligned. That happens from time to time with your head and cervical spine area. I have it quite a bit, but really don't bother with it because it doesn't bother me. My sister dated a chiroprator and he fixed it for me a few years back but it's back to clicking again. It's worth a shot to see one. Hope this helps. :)

FINALLY whats up, I have this all the time. Click on my name and look at my post. Alot of them are for clicking and popping in the back of my head. When ever I turn my head left or right I here a click or pop.It happens not every day but most of the time. My nurse said that it could be allerigies. I was like what the hell I dont have allergies. She described it as Rice Crispys crackling in the back of your head. Mine does sound like that. You could look into that. Other than that I dont know what causes it. I doubt its anything serious though.

Is this accompanied by any sort of pain or other neuro issues? If so it could possibly be some sort of bone spur or degenerated disc(bone on bone scrape). But it could also just be a ligament snap that you are hearing. The allergy thing IS certainly a new one.i have never ever heard of this type of thing in relation to noises in the c spine??a simple x ray could reveal some sort of structural problem.FB

If the x ray did not show structural damage, the next step would be an MRI to get a look at the inside structures and nerves inside the vertebrae.FB
