I read on here a long time ago about the "asprin mask" and I've used it a few times since then when a big zit has popped up and it really helps. You have to make a paste using crushed up asprin and water (or facial toner, whichever you prefer) and then stick it on to your zit till the paste dries. It should help reduce the redness and dry up the pimple. Maybe you could do this a few times before your date and then right before you leave the house to really zap the redness.
But don't worry if it's still noticeable... if this girl's worth your time, she'll like you regardless of a pimple. If she doesn't, then it's most likely her loss. Good luck.

i am also a big fan of the aspirin mask. it keeps my skin looking great.
i had a couple of spots pop up the other day, and i may have a date this weekend. i've done the aspirin mask the last couple of nights and *poof* spots are gone.
a lot of people also use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask for a quick spot treatment. i've tried it, but my skin is way too sensitive for it and it broke me out even worse.
