My daughter was born with below 10K platelet count. She stayed in the hospital for days afterwards with a slow rise in the count. She is now 8 and we have noticed petichae again and she is very tired. Blood work on 5/2 showed 240k platelet count with 6.9 MPV, on 6/21/5 blooc work showed 270k platelet count but still 6.9 MPV. Her Monocytes were off the charts on 5/2 but in the range with this last test. Becuase of the issues she had at birth I am wondering if there is something going on. The doctors never determined why her count was so low at birth and her new doctor says everything looks fine now. Should I be concerned about the MPV or not.
