I was wondering if anyone has had experience with cheek implants being removed. They are too big for my face and feel uncomfortable. I got them several years ago and I am looking for a doctor experienced with cheek implants in the NY area. Also does anyone know when you take them out if there is extra skin. Thank you Lorraine

I am sorry that I don't have the answers to your questions, however perhaps you could tell me (and other posters) more about check implants? Thanks!

I had small cheek implants put in ten years ago, and then removed six months later with no problems. They were asymetrical; one of them was up too high. They were the small triangular shaped ones, and they were not sewn down as far as I know. I think some plastic surgeons sew them down to keep them from shifting. They came out very easily with much less swelling than the initial operation. My face looked exactly the same as before.(No sagging) If you want to talk further, you can e-mail me at dilamour@aol.com. Good luck.
