 Hi I am new to the forum. I am over 60 (just) and have a problem that is occuring more often now. My doctor tells me that ladies of my age sometimes get a narrowing of the ureathra (hope the spelling is right) and perhaps would need surgery, but I don't want to go to this extent. I have smyptoms that make me want to pass water all the time but only doing spoonfuls. I dont get a burning feeling when I pass water but the area can be very sore. I can't sit down so have to stand when I have it. Then it will pass and for a few days I am fine until it kicks in again. Unfortunately it is difficult to plan anything as I don't know when its going to start. Has anyone out there the same sort of thing. If so, what if anything, do you do about it apart from surgery. The doctor just seems to ignor it. Pain killers of the mild kind seem useless.
