 Hi I am new to the forum. I have a problem which if anyone could give me advise on I would be grateful. At times I have an urge to pass water frequently. I do not get the usual burning sensation but do get very sore in the area concerned. I have been to the doctor who says that ladies in my age group (just over 60) can get a narrowing of the eurthea (hope the spelling is correct) which can only be fixed by surgery but I don't want to go down that road at present. Does anyone else have the same problem? If so, what if anything, do you do about it. Mild painkillers don't seem to work. I could have it for a day. for an hour, and then it goes away for a few days and I am OK again. Difficult to plan anything as I don't know when its coming on.

Hi! I don't have any knowledge of this problem but I'm a very strong believer in staying in charge of your health. Have you considered seeing another doctor? Sometimes it takes asking everyone you know if they can recommend a doctor who is both compassionate and has knowledge of alternative therapies (rather than always jumping to surgery first). Please try to get some other opinions if you aren't satisfied with the care you're getting. My thoughts are with you!
