my father has had a kidney problem for about a year now....hes been outta the hospital for 3 months...right now he is weak,sits around all day,has no taste for meat, stomach is very upset, bad gas, cant go to the bathroom (poop) very constipated,and is just not the same man..hes 56 yrs old his Kidney count was a 2.5 but it went back up to a 4.1 now.., i just wish he would get better, anybody have any suggestion or any information you can give me on this problem?

What is the actual Dx?There are many many types of kidney 'problems">also when you say kidney count, just what do you mean,his creatinine level?If you can get the answers to the questions i just asked it would be alot easier to give you the correct answers.If you do not know, ask your father,he should know.if he doesn't, he needs to find out just exactly what IS wrong with his kidneys.Marcia

yes his creatine level, all i kno is he had protein in his urine and his kidney is only working 20% and its not filtering. his number came down to a 2.1 at one time now it went back up, he is on the kidney transplant list and will need dialisys soon , unless his kidney number can get to i think its a 1.2 im not sure but it was coming down befo4 if theres any good remedies for helping bringing this down such as what to eat or exercise , or anything anyone knows id really appreciate it cause i hate seeing him go through this at only his age (56) . thanks
