I checked my account friday and they had finally made a deposit. Wouldn't you know it was far less than what they said it would be. I just don't understand the way they do things. They told me a certain amount and told me to minus what I owe General Assistance. It was about 1500 short of that so I have no idea what is going on.
Another thing I don't understand is they said that since it will take so long to process my SSDI, I will receive SSI. Now why would it take longer to process SSDI than SSI? Isn't it all done by computer? Am I the only one confused by this? Isn't everything done through SSA?
I am thankful that I can pay my bills and most of all pay back all the wonderful people who have helped me through this whole process. But I must say I am preturbed that the whole SSA system is so messed up. It makes me wonder how much money is being wasted with all their red tape and screw ups?

I am going trough the samething. My ssi was rushed through because i was in dire need, But my ssdi is still being processed. Thats the only answer i get when i call anyone its being processed. Of course because ssdi is is still being processed i can't get my back pay yet as they must figure out lawyer fees and offset so i start getting monthly checks july first but no back pay waiting waiting waiting keep me updated
