Has anyone had a mini tummy tuck done after having a c-section? Im curious if they just open your existing scar and do the tuck that way. Also if a mini tummy tuck scar is as long as the c-section scar? If you dont have very much skin to remove----would a mini tummy tuck be appropriate? I only have a small flap of skin....so i dont want to get a full tummy tuck! I mostly just hate the lose skin, and the indention of the scar. Oh, and with a tummy tuck scar.....does it lay flat? Or can there be a possibility that this scar can indent also, like a c-section scar?

I wanted to add, that i have had other PS procedure's done. So, i do have an excellent PS. I looked up pics of his patients, and the tummy tuck one's look awful! Most of the pics, they still had awful stretch marks---which makes me concerned about his work! I had a pretty good result with my breasts-----except i didnt heal right away!!!! I am an x smoker and i believe that had something to do with the healing process! I will never again have plastic surgery and smoke. Anywayz, i also thought that having a tummy tuck can help with getting rid of stretch marks from pregnacies! I know that you can see pics online of people's procedures....but some actually look good, and some look awful....makes me concerned about the pics i saw from my PS............

There are 2 different types of tummy tucks. One is where the scar goes from hip to hip and then the other is one that kind of looks like a C-section scar.
It's important to look at the Dr. pictures and see his work. Were the pics you looked at right after surgery or months to a year after? And it really depends on how well a person heals and scars, that could be why it didn't look very good!
Look for a surgeon who specializes in tummy tucks. Go on-line, there alot of sites that you can look at and find out if you qualify for a mini tummy tuck or a full.
