I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and have a lot of loose stomach skin. The thing is that under that skin I am actually quite fit. I workout and exercise etc and eat really healthy. I was wondering if anyone has had this procedure done and how much they cost on average. Thanks

HI! I was reluctant to respond since I already responded to a rhinoplasty post and now it's out that I've had two procedures, oh well. Anyway, if you are fit underneath, that should be even more of a sign that the skin isn't going anywhere and needs to be removed. I know it depends on the location that you do the surgery, but it's apporximately 5,000. It's worth every penny! The drain is gross, but the end result is wonderful. Good luck!

Hey Mike - I just went thru one in April and I would have to say $5k sounds about right. I am 5'4" and weigh 116 after 9 pregnancies and 4 healthy full term babies (several 70lbs weight gains w/preg). I also felt pretty fit with significant muscle tone under the flubber. To me it was the only option. I went right full around (like a "magician's assistant") with 400 external stitches and over 400 internal (permanent) stitches. With it comes the tying together of the muscle walls (which separate w/preg...not something for you to worry about), which to me was a bonus. I ha them throw in a couple of saline breasts and lipo smallish saddle bags to boot. I felt like a train-wreck for about two weeks and the scarring is significant (but the jokes are PRICELESS...when people ask about the scarring, my replies are:"Shark attack" "Chain saw" and of course "Magician's assistant"..) I will now be more aggressive with the softening of the scars, but I LOVE my shape under clothes...I hope this helped a bit..warmly, jayem
