I am hoping someone can give me a litte advice and what I should do. I just switched from depo to ortho novum and then to ortho tri cyclen lo. I know it is normal not to recieve a period for a while, but is it normal to have slight spotting the week before the placebo pills and not have a period. I am feeling really bloated like I should be starting but nothing is there. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated. :confused:

Depo can really mess with a woman's cycle. For now, I'd say that this is normal.

Have you got a full period at all, yet?

I was on depo of almost 4 years and my last shot was due in march,,, and I still have not had a period, the spotting is the first sign of blood I have had in 4 years.

That's pretty normal once you come off depo. I came off depo in march and got my period a fwe days later. I got it a few times though out March and april and then it started to go normal. I would give it some time for your body to adjust back to normal. Good luck

thanks for the replies,, guess I just have to wait it out and try not to go insain every month wondering if that will be the month I return to normal. though I do have one question,, could it be the pills that are keeping me from starting my period?

it's probably the Depo that causing you not to have your period. When i decide to come off depo the doctor suggested going back on the pill and she couldn't say for sure if the pill would start kick my period again. From what i have found in researching Depo, most women don't get their periods back till 6 to 18 months after the last shot.
