View Full Version : Muscle Pain With Sunburn?

I'm a person who normally doesn't burn unless I'm in the sun for hours on top of hours at a time. I usually just get a little pink and then tan, but this time was different. I went to the tanning bed for the first time this year (i've been numerous times before). Of course I had to try a new tanning place. It felt like any other time when I got out. I was a little pink and hot of course. When I got home that night I started feeling like I had been burnt. That night when the sun went down (I hear that's when you really start feeling the burn) is when it all hit me. After I took a shower my skin felt like it was on fire. What was odd about it though is that it only burnt on my stomach, chest and butt area. So the point I was trying to get to in this topic is why am I so sore? I didn't think that getting a sun burn made your muscles hurt too. Has this happened to anyone else? It honestly felt like I had been doing some serious exercising. My butt was sore (hurt to sit), my stomach felt like I had done 1,000 sit-ups, and even my shoulders felt like I lifted a ton of weights. What caused this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
