My hubby and I began trying to conceive almost a month ago. Two days ago I got very sharp pains on my left side and today I noticed a little brownish color when I use the bathroom. It is to early for AF to come, but I am new to TTC and dont really know what to be loooking for and I dont want to spend all the money on pg tests. I am so nervous!

I can relate to that sceanrio. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I had the brownish discharge and knew that it was way to early for AF to come. I did run out and get 2 HPT that came up negative both times.
A few days later I tried again, and I have 3 positive tests. I am going to the Dr tomorrow to confirm, but what you said is exactly what happened to me. I noticed when it was almost a month we had been TTC.

So should I go buy a test or keep holding out. THe holding out part is nerve wracking!

The holding out part killed me....I was a WRECK! When did the brownish stuff happen? I took a test the next day and it was positive after my incident like that.

If you are thinking it's implantation bleeding, give it a few days. It will take a few days before you will have any HCG in your system to be readable on a test.

It started today, and AF is not due until the first of the month. I have never had this before an AF was to begin, nor have I ever had the cramping I had two days ago.

Brands, what kind of sharp pain did you get. I got a sharp pain( like ovulation pain located on one spot-but it was stronger and lasted longer than ovulation pains), and I got a BFP 5 days later.
Sounds like pregnancy to me :)

yeah i fou nd out, got the big fat af, so it was disappointing, but trying agian this month..hopefully it is the magic month..
