Hey - I am 12 days out from a rhino and now that the swelling has subsided, I can see that my surgeon forgot to change the structure on one side...explination: i had an "Irish" nose that was swung to the left - "/"..., bump in the middle of the bridge, and slightly blubous on the the right of the tip. I asked that he take the "mick" out of it by straightening, losing the bump and making the tip less blubous. Well, he did all that, but as it seems he didn't compensate for the bridge on the left side. When he centered the flesh, where it naturally laid swinging left, the bone is now no longer covered and protrudes(there is hardly any flesh in that area so it looks like a button, or better yet, it looks like he took the bump on the top of the bridge and shifted it to the left side...). I just wanted a "nothing" nose - no character - and for it to be proportioned with the rest of my features...now its smaller with LOTS of freaky character...(who has a bump on the SIDE of their nose?!?!). I feel like im way too PO'ed to speak to him now ("she who gets emotional first looses"). I am scheduled to see him in a week for a post-op..can anyone offer some calm verbage? thanks - jayem

Hi Sweetie,
I am so sorry your upset from what your doctor did.
I know you cant walk in to his office cussing up a storm, but If I was in your shoes, I would tell him I am very UNHAPPY with what he did! You ask for a certin thing to be done to your nose and he didnt do it, he did a half a*s job..Your the one who paid him ALL this $money$ to make you look the way you want! I have never gotten my nose done, which I want to but not sure if I ever will, but I use to work in a PS office, and I know you have the right to complain and he need to fix what he did!

I wish you the best of luck!

HI. Maybe it's just swelling. You can't tell twelve days in what your nose will really look like? Okay, just hoping that's what it is anyway. Good luck , please write back and let us know what he said to you?

update - the doc "confessed" that he had to break the bridge in order to get a narrow/natural look. (the bride was narrow to begin with...pre-op he said the complete opposite "we absolutely can't break the bridge or it'll look wide"...)What a dope! I think he's just scared of a law suit and is talking out of his....Anyway, i did consult a lawyer and she said that it would be difficult because he could say that it was my word against his, etc. The doc asked for "10 weeks - give me 10 weeks." and i agreed. we are approximately 5 weeks out and my nose has morphed into AN HOUR GLASS SHAPE!!!! Very attractive. People want to know if i'm a battered wife or did i just get into a car accident... Live and learn! (ps - i consulted with another doc who said he could fix it of course for $5,000.00...i suppose you can fix almost anything with enough$$$.) Thanks for you concern! warm reagards, jayem
