My daughter who is 17 years old got her first shot of the Depo a few weeks ago. She said that she feels like one side of her face is tingly numb...and sometimes her arm. I am going to call her dr about this but have any of you experienced this type of side effect from the shot? The more I read about this shot the worse it gets. I told her when her 3 months were up. I hope she considered another form of bc than this. It's scarey to me all the side effects during and after this shot...Any replies on this about her symptoms would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm 17, 18 in a few days. I've been on Depo for over a year and I've honestly never heard of that tingling being a side effect. I would definately talk to a doctor about this to make sure it is nothing serious. I know that if I get really stressed I get tingly like that, probably because I hold all my tension in my neck.

Let me know what the doc says about this, I'm curious to know because I really don't see how birth control would cause this...but everyone responds to different things differently!
