hi there, ive been on and off the pill since i was 16 because it just doesnt agree with my body. this may sound strange and every1 ive spoken to has never heard of this happening to them when they are on the pill but during sex whilst on the pill it seems to make the inside of my vagina feel very tight and sensative, like i can feel every little bump off tissue inside me whilst penetration is occuring, then aslo just after orgasm it becomes very sore and painfull so much so that i have to stop. i want so much to have save sex with my new partner but am scared of going on the pill again as it puts me off having sex because of the pain it causes inside please can you help and have you heard of this happening before?

Some women find that their natural lubrication decreases a lot when they take the pill. As a result, their vaginas feel "tighter" and more sensitive as you describe. The dryness could also account for the "feeling every bump" you describe.

When a woman is dry and has sex, tiny tears can happen in the lining of her vagina, making it hurt afterwords.

I understand your fear, but you could always try a different pill then the one you were on before, and try using lube when you have sex. Talk to your doctor, and explain your fear about the pill and its effect on your body.

Alternately, you could look into non-hormonal methods of contraception like an IUD, perhaps. You could also try another form of hormonal contraception like the patch, or perhaps the ring.
