This is my third month of ttc. My cycles are slightly iregular, ranging from 28 to 45 days. I can usually tell when I am ovulating from my cm. This month, however, I have had ewcm off and on since cd14. It is very noticable. It is like I will have it for a couple of days, then it will stop for a day and come right back. This is driving me crazy. I am on cd 28 but I do not think I could possibly be pregnant and I don't want to take a test and be disappointed again. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with me?

Last month I had the same thing and I think that I had an anovulatory cycle. I had EWCM since like the time I was to O and was confused as to when I had actually done so. I even had the EWCM till the first day of my period and thought that I could of been pg. It could be a sign that you are, or it could be just anovulatory one like mine... if you are having any symptoms that indicate a possible pregnancy, I say take a HPT when you can, and you may be pleasantly suprised. I wish you the best of luck hun.

Thanks you for your input. It is just so frustrating to not know when I ovulated so I don't know when to expect AF. Do you think I would be crazy to wait for two more weeks before I test just to make sure that my cycle is not a long one this time?

I read somewhere that sometimes you have EWCM on and off during the latter part of your cycle because your body keeps trying to ovulate but doesn't. So it is preparing itself for ovulation, which is evident by the CM, but then the egg isn't released so your body tries again in another couple days, so more EWCM. I am pretty sure this is what is happening to me. I have low progesterone levels and haven't been ovulating until anywhere from day 18 to 25 but have EWCM a few times before that. So I think my body is trying earlier but doesn't actually ovulate until later in my cycle. I am pretty sure that once you have ovulated, your CM should dry up so you should watch for that as a sign that you have finally ovulated. Of course if it is an anovulatory cycle it likely won't dry up at all, you will just eventually get a period because the lining has built up so much. If you think you likely haven't ovulated yet, I would wait as long as you can to test so you can avoid that disappointment. You may just ovulate late, like I have been.

Good luck!

I don't think that you are crazy at all for wanting to wait a little longer before testing. Have you had long cycles before? If I seem to be late, I always look at the length of my longest cycle and wait after then to test if AF doesn't show.. alot of times she'll rear her ugly mug the day after I test or the day before, talk about frustrating:) I want to wish you the best of luck, hang in there and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
