Hi I am new My name is Trisha. 2 years ago my doctor found a liver cyst in the right lobe while doing an ultrasound when I was 4 mo pregnant the size was 3cm. After my son was born they did another to measure the size and it was at 5cm and at my last ultrasound if feb it was 5.5cm. Just this last week I started to feel pain in my upper right abdomen and feel sick to the stomach when ever I sit down. My doctor did chest x-rays and blood and urine work and found nothing abnormal. I am scared to death. I go in thur for another ultrasound to see if it has grown. Has anyone else felt pain or stomach illness from liver cysts or tumors??

Hi, trishaphifer,
Welsome to the boards. :)
You should probably read and join in on discussions on the Focal Nodular Hyperplasia and liver adenoma or focal nodule hyperplasia threads.
All of our us had our growths discovered in the same way you've described - found in scans done for other reasons.
Hopefully, if it's a GP you've seen so far, they will send you to a liver specialist next.
I had an FNH which did cause me pain, although my growth was on the left lobe. Apparently, they can cause pain for some of us.
If if does turn out it is a liver adenoma or focal nodule hyperplasia, you'll find lots of answers, info and support here.
Good luck.

Hello Everyone. My name is Karen. I am new to this site. In Janurary I was diagnosed with FNH. Size being 3.5 x 3.6 cm. In February I had a biopsy to confirm it wasn't cancer. It is not. On June 20th I had another CT Scan of my abdomen and it showed the nodule being the same size. Then on Aug. 15th, I had another MRI and it showed that I now have two. The second one is 1.8 cm. I have seen a specalist and he doesn't think the FNH is causing me any pain what so ever. He has done a gallbladder functioning test which proved to be functioning just fine. I am having lots of pain and discomfort and I just don't know what to do anymore. I go back to see the specialist on Monday the 18th to see where I go from here. Does anyone out there have an opinion for me? I sure could use some. ~Karen~

hi
A liver cyst is different than a FNH. Cysts do grow and sometimes need to be aspirated. Find out if it is a simple or complex cyst.
