View Full Version : Red patches on cheeks - shaving issue? Need advice.

I'm a 20 year old male, and have red marks on either side of my face on my cheeks. Not too near my nose, more over the cheekbones area. They aren't itchy, and to touch feel like the rest of my skin. They occur kind of patches rather than lines, and they are a significant size. They've been there for at least 2 years now, probably near enough 3 years..they don't go away. They do damage my confidence.

I have visited my doctor who said it was probably related to shaving, as they only occured where I shave on my face. He prescribed creme but it didn't do anything. I went back, he prescribed another kind, but again, it didn't help.

If it matters, I am overweight, probably classed as obese. (Which I am attempting to work on as well by exercising and eating better, it wouldnt take me long to get under the 'obsese' mark)

I can go back to the docs again, but I thought I would try to ask here first. {removed} Thanks for reading!
