View Full Version : Has anyone taken Alesse continuous?

I am just wondering if anyone has had any experiences taking Alesse like Seasonale. I have been on Triphalil for the last 6 months or so and have noticed that I am getting moody the last 5-7 days of active pills and then horribly moody during my "off" week. I had my choice of which pills to switch to and thought about Seasonal figuring it would be better to not have as many periods if it was going to effect me this way. When I researched the actual hormone content in Seasonale compared to the Triphasil I got to thinking that might not be a good idea. So I asked my Dr. about going back on Alesse, I had taken it years ago, he let it be my decision and this is what I have chose.
Now I am trying to decide if I would want to try taking this like the seasonale. I have no problems with not having a period every 28 days but I would rather have that than BTB.
Just wondering if anyone out there has tried this.

Thanks in advance

Tara :)

Yeah I have really messed myself up. I was trying to clear up my face so I took my Yasmin constantly and never let my body have a period. Now I am having severe stomach cramps and my pill schedule is really messed up. I am getting off of them right now to have a period and hopefully I will start to feel better.

i skipped the "off" pills in Alesse for about 8 or 9 months....it was okay, a little spotting and such...but this month i had a period that was *no joke* almost the whole month..i had to wait it out then not have any pills for an off week, which i ot my period and now everything is back to normal. ive also learned that ur not supposed to do it for more than 3 months at a time i think :)

i have been on Alesse for 2 1/2 years now, non-stop. I have not had a period or any spotting for this entire time, either. :)

IT has been the best thing I ever have done. It keeps my moods in check (no more severe PMDD) and I can go swim or be with my husband anytime!

IF you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I am planning on continuing with this use until my doctor says otherwise.
