Ughh, I don't know if this post is a vent, moan or I just need some advice. I am sooo frustrated at trying to figure out when I am ovulating, that I could run and scream through the streets like a mad woman!!! I mean, I thought that I had it all figured out, and now this month I haven't seen any EWCM and its CD22!
When I first began TTC, I had my cycle back to normal, had little or no stress in my life... now I am dreading everything. I hate the day I ovulate, because it always means that within 2 weeks I will be depressed, frustrated and about to give up! I guess I am at my wits end and I think that I should stop being so technical about it all and just go with it. I have thought about not temping, doing any tests and just maybe go by cm alone. I know that I won't really know for sure if I o'd but maybe I just wouldn't feel so stressed about it. DH doesn't understand how frustrating it is for me.. like I tried to tell him.." Its not like I am fertile every day of the month..", I wish that were the case though.
I guess I wonder if I possibly could be having another anovulatory cycle.. and what things should I look for on my chart? I've pretty much prepared myself for AF's arrival, so I guess you could say I am already devestated and I haven't even o'd yet. I wonder how many anovulatory cycles is common? If I am having more than normal, could this be a sign of PCOS, or my thyroid problem??
Sorry for such the long post.. any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Fae

Hey hun,
I had the same this month - no EWCM...I don't understand it. I can't recall any time in my life when that has happened. I don't know what it means...I'm going to ask my doctor, so I'll let you know what she says.
Hang in there honey, this will happen for you. But, you've got to relax and stay positive. Being stressed and negative affects your body...even though you may not realize it and makes it harder to get pregnant.
It just takes a lot of patience, some positive thinking, and oh yeah, lots of BD!
Good luck to you.

I thought that thyroid problems could cause problems with your cycle. Hang in there. This whole process is so frustrating. I totally understand how you feel. It seems so easy for everyone else.

Have you tried taking Vitex? It's good for regulating your cycles.

Thanks for the advice ladies, its greatly appreciated. Well, I think that I may be getting ready to O.. seen some EWCM last night and a bunch today, so I guess I can try and relax during this 2WW.. yeah right.
lexdc1... you haven't had any EWCM at all? I wonder if watery cm counts? Anyone know? Thanks in advance about letting me know what your doc says.
cholebell.. thanks for your support, and I definately agree with you about the thyroid problems, I bet this is a big reason why I am having trouble.
caedmyn.. I have been considering this, do you have any experience with it at all?
Thanks again

I have pretty limited experience with it. I started using it around CD 18 or so because I could tell my body was trying to O but it wasn't quite happening. I wound up O'ing on CD 24 and got a BFP on CD 39. I know it's supposed to take 2-3 cycles before it works, so I don't know if it was just a coincidence or not, but I'm happy with the results! I've seen lots of posts on various bulletin boards by people saying it worked well for them. I'll definitely use it again after this baby is born whenever it looks like my cycles are coming back.
Anyhow, it's natural and there's no side effects as far as I know, and it's pretty inexpensive if you get the caplets, so it certainly can't hurt.
