 Hi. I'm new to this. I've been on & off depo since i was 16 & I'm now 27, I've been off it now since Feb 2003 I've had a few periods now ( between 3 & 6 months apart) not regular yet (2 1/2yrs that's how long I've been trying). I've had all the blood tests possible & all came back fine and know my DH has to have a sperm count done again (he had one done in 1995) and he was fine, just waiting for results now (due back next Friday 8th June). My last period was Wed 4th May & i O between 16-23 May and had a small bleed on 27-28 May (very light & with mild cramps) nothing since. I've got lots of blue veins over my chest and a very faint line over my navel which seems odd. I've done 4 HPT and 2 from GP they wont refer me to ultrasound till i get a + pregnancy test and they wont do blood test unless you done want to keep the baby. I'm having lots of discharge (creamy/white and stretchy) i know when it's EWCM it means I'm O but I'm not as this has been going on now for 4wks. Please help very confused.

That does sound like a frustrating postition to be in.....Question for you: Did your GP do a blood test or a urine test or both and at what stage of the "game" were they done?
I don't know about the veins in your chest but a few ladies have mentioned on earlier posts that you will have EWCM during pregnancy and I have heard of the "pregnancy line" by your belly button. Have you had any other symptions? Cramping, weight gain, tender breasts, nausea, etc?
I do know of at least 3 people who got pregnant just off of Depo, even a few while still on Depo, so chances are good.
Hope you get this figured out soon...baby dust your way!!! Let us know.

I did pregnancy tests at 4 day before my AF was due with first response the i did another one a week later by the GP then another one a wk later, then another one by the GP then i did one more at home all say neg to which i have given up as she told me it should have show up now (which is 8wks now if i was it will be 9wks Wed next wk). I've had mild cramping on & off for the past 4wks, no breast tenderness or nausea & weight gain. My GP said they don't do blood tests, only if i don't want to keep the baby and the wont do a ultrasound til i get a +pregnancy test. I'm so frustrated as to what to do next. I'm wait for a fertility appointment to come through to see what they can do for me. Can the discharge have white in it as mine does and it's stretchy to which I've been told is a sign I'm O, but it's been like this now for 4 weeks now.

Is there any way you can see the doctor instead of the GP, it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't do a blood test...what does that have to do with whether or not you want to keep the baby...a blood may give you other leads, if it shows that you are not pregnant...a blood is one of the first things my doctors does, instead of a urine test b/c a blood test is more accurate and detects more!

 Wow, it's amazing the way things work in different parts of the world...I guess it's just hard for me to imagine being in your situation and being told "NO." Hopefully you'll get into see a fertility specialist soon. Best of luck with getting this whole thing figured out, be sure to keep us posted. Sending prayers and baby dust your way!

Hi Trudi
I also live in the midlands your Gp does not sound very bothered am i right in understanding you have not had a period for several weeks? Do you have any pg symptoms? you could try testing in a local pharmacy or brook advisory centre there used to be one in wolverhampton don't know if it is still there. Is there another gp at your surgery you could see instead that is what i do. It is rare to be pg and not get any test show bfp. You could ask your gp how long he expects you to wait like this not knowing if you are pg as you want to have good pre natal care for any child you have. you are right though my gp did no tests when i saw him no blood no urine no nothing just conratulated me on my 3 hpt bfp's and told me to book to see the midwife at 10 weeks, saying that no one did any tests other than us me when i started bleeding to confirm m/c also no follow ups. You are discovering maternity care is crap no one cares until you are 24 weeks at least sorry i sound so negative is just my experience. Where in the midlands are you did you say you were 27 thats the same as me. Nice to see someone local on this board.

 I live in Nottingham. I've seen 2 GP's now neither of them want to know they say just keep testing til i get a +, but it's costing me a fortune as i test once a week I'm stopping testing on 11th of July as it will be 10 weeks since my LMP. I'm just going to wait for my period to start when ever that will be. Hopefully soon i get this fertility appointment soon. My DH gets his results back a week today. Ya I'm 27, it is nice to see someone local on this board. I do have some PG symptoms IE urinate more often, lots of blue veins over my chest, faint line on my navel, but no sore boobs but do have a few more nodules on my areola and have a darker circle around the areola. I'm tired all the time, it could be to do with that i do nights

Hi
Have your periods ever been regular? Hope your appt with the fertility people goes well and that you are able to conceive very soon. Let us know how the appt goes, are you seeing them privately or not? Did you have to wait long for the appt? Do you know if you have been ovulating since coming off depot?
Good luck with things, lets send some baby dust to you

My periods have been irregular since coming off Depo in Feb 2003, they range from 2,3 & 6 months but this time i feel different. I'm seeing the fertility people on the NHS. I'm still waiting for an appointment, But my DH had the first appointment Wednesday for a sperm count just to make sure it wasn't him. As far as I'm aware I'm O every month as i have EWCM on day 18-21 of my cycle, but this time I've had lots of white/stretchy discharge which soaks into the toilet paper and it has been like this now for 4wks.
