Hi there everyone,
I need some help in figuring out what is wrong please??? I am 34 yrs old and have had my period since I was 13. Every month I am like clockwork....28 days to the day and not one behind. I have been "late" 5 times in my life and all 5 times I was preggers. (only 2 children, 3 miscarriages). Well, I have "skipped" my last 2 possible 3 periods....it's been so long I can't remember!! I was in the ER yesterday for unrelated back problems and they did a blood pregnancy test/and urine preg test, both negative. I can not find anything on the net as to what could cause this....can somebody please lead me in the direction of anything? I am going to an ob/gyn in about 2 weeks to have a pap/check up (it's been about 4 years for that!)
Thanks,
Karen

Chances are you just aren't ovulating to produce a period; doesn't mean you're menopausal; you just might have a hormone imbalance. Seeing as you're going to your doctor in a couple weeks, I'd discuss it with him for sure and in the future, you'ld probably be better off going to your doctor once a year for your annual checkup.

When I get really stressed out about things I tend to skip a period or two. I think I once went about 4 months without getting it! I talked to my doctor and she wasn't overly concerned at all. Also, when I went off certain birth control pills or the depo shot I didn't get mine for sometime afterwards.
