Our neighbors are being loud as per every holiday. It depresses me beyond measure. There's no family gathering like my earliest days, no child here. I hate it and want to escape but I can't. Turn up the tv and they are still LOUD.

I don't like loud neighbors either. I am so sorry the holidays make you sad. I don't know if you can call the police and report them for being so loud. If it bothered me, that is what I would do. I do understand. I hope they get quiet soon.

I can see how the exhuberabt cheerfulness may sadden one... perhaps you can try to look at it positively, Lloyd, along the lines, "at least they are happy, I suppose" (I'd say it in Eyore's kind of 'gloomy' voice). Well, I don't like very loud gatherings either way, and being a part of them makes me feel even more lonely... We are weird people, I suppose... Well, put in ear plugs and come to our quiet board...
