My 21 month old DS has a hard bump off to the side in the front of his neck. Basically where the lymph nodes are. I notice it when he is pulling his head back. It is bigger on one side than the other. So, I just figured it was a swollen lymph node. I guess the weird thing is that I noticed this over a month ago and it has not gone down any AND he has not been sick AT ALL in the past 5 months or so. I guess I am getting a little worried. Like maybe he has a underlying illness or this is a tumor of some sort. Should I contact his dr. or just wait it out? Should I be worried?

Without a doubt, check with your pediatrician. It could be any number of things, some serious, some not. It would be worth your peace of mind to have it checked out.

I also noticed that when my daughter was about 18 months old. I had it checked out and the doctor said it was normal that young kids a lot of times have larger glands. By all means have your doctor check it out for your own peace of mind!
