Yeah, me again, hopefully being paranoid. Like I said before, I tested negative at about 6 months (more like 5 months and 26/27 days). I am neurotic but I was thinking about something. I did ecstasy twice, a year before I had my crappy unprotected sex experience. I know drugs can lower the immune system, so what if I am one of those people with a lowered or abnormal immune system that won't test accurately until like a year after your last possible exposure? I think the immune system repairs itself after drug intake but still, if anyone could provide insight, I would be SO thankful.

i understand your fear. I really really do. i don't post much anymore, but i thougt you could use a friend. i don't know if this will help, but for hundreds of others much like you, it has.

the fact that you tested negative at the 6 month mark really does put you in the clear. there are 290 MILLION americans and every year there are HUNDREDS OF MILLION of unprotected sexual acts. from those unprotected acts, about 40,000 people test positive each year. think about that. hundreds of millions vs. 40,000. add the fact that testing at 6 moths is 99% effective and the chance that you would somehow be positive is so astronomical that i believe NASA would have to calculate those odds.

you sound so young to be dwelling on this. if you simply can not get over it, may i suggest that you talk with a doctor about other needs, possibly with anxiety.

like i said, i understand. i got an infection after my son was born seen mainly in AIDS patients. I had NOT been tested at that point. I was given a 30% chance to live, but I did. and i am negative. go figure! but i had sooooooo much anxiety there for a while that i needed a doctors help, and i am now sooooooo much better. I hope that helps.

thank you for your response, I am trying to get over it. I am just concerned because I have had 2 illnesses in 2 months and it seems like my immune system should work better than that. I am only 19, I don't drink, and I don't smoke. I don't know what is wrong with me.

Hey as far as the ex is concerned dont worry about that, it wont have any affect on your window, its only IV drug use that does that, and it has to be pretty intense! And I think your test is accurate, i would lay money on it!

There was a period of time (during my HIV scare) in which something seemed really wrong with me as well. Sometimes we get funny viruses.
