Very briefly Ive been ill for 7 years now with CFS which has gradually gotten worse. Last week I was reading through my recent blood tests in a report my doctor had to submit for insurance with me not being able to work anymore.

I happened to see the results for the following:

vit b12 1057 (190-1000)
s folate >20 (2.8-13.5)
ferritin 173.0 (13-150) comments were:

Note raised ferritin ? liver disease, blood transfusion, haemachromatosis.

These results were from November and no one has mentioned them at all, should the doctor be doing any follow up on this or is it not raised enough to be of any importance. I really dont feel my doctor has done much to help me since I became ill and just wants to put everything down to CFS.

Thanks for any advice.

(ps a different doc I saw years ago told me I had raised liver enzymes and that I had something called Gilberts disease but told me it didnt cause any symptoms) Dont know if this is relevant.

Chris
