Hi altogether,

I am not sure if i suffer from some kind of learning disability, but i can never really get me motivated to study for my exams. i mean i force myself to start studying, but it takes me so long to remember the easiest things, so that after a couple of days, i always give up. It also makes me very tired to study.
I think it might be some kind of learning disability or even ADS, but i am not sure.
Anybody here who experienced anything like that?
How are you trying to get motivated to study for tests and exams?

With kindest regards, Angel

Do you have a problem trying to study b/c you do not like to stay indoors and look at four walls? Or is it partly to do with the fact that you do not know where to start? Or maybe its both. When I study I always make sure I arrange breaks for myself such as going out for example to the cinema. I also find a fiction book and read a couple of pages every now and then so I can take a break from factual info. Also if its sunning I sometimes sit outside and study.

As far as not knowing where to start is concerned maybe you can draw yourself up a timetable. First you have to figure out why you have problems but these general tips may help.

Another thing that effects study is how much info goes in, I personally feel more encouraged to study if I know I will remember what I've read. Its best to study in sessions of 45 mins taking at least a 5 min break. This is to do with the way your brain remembers things it does not concentrate as well after 45 mins so its best to give it a rest.
