Here the situation. My husband and I have been TTC on and off for about 6 months. This past month, I didn't think that we had done the bd on the right days...but wasn't totally sure. My cycle has been 30 days for 6 months (except las month when it was 31 but I got AF first thing in the mornin on the 31st day). Now, I'm on day 32. Great right? Well...I took a hpt today and it was bfn. I just found another chat place where a bunch of women said that they got bfn's for weeks before they tested positive. Anyone heard of this? AF hasn't been late in so long...but the test was negative!! I don't get it!

i have never known anyone personally who had a bfn when they were pg but i have heard people say it can happen but like i say never met anyone this actually happened to when they were late on af. yes bfn can happen if test done before af due date or if someone has drunk lotsn of fluid before hand. Good luck with ttc this month fingers crossed for you during this frustrating time. Baby dust to you :)

Some people dont produce enough HCG for it to show up on a test straight away, some can only find out from a blood sample, i would give it a week and if af still hasnt arrived do another test and if still nothing then i would make an appointment with your doctor.

Sprinklings of baby dust to you and good luck

I got a bfn my last pregnancy when I was 2 days late. A week later or so I got a faint positive but then had a m/c the next day. When I asked the doctor about the bfn and fp she said that if your hormone levels aren't high enough...like in my case where I may have ovulated later than I thought and then later when the m/c was about to happen the results can vary a lot. She says they are a good tool but not to hold everything to them.
Good luck and baby dust to you!!!
