My sister have a big face. She reduced fat 4 months ago.Her face is thin now.But the doctor reduce too much so her want to implant fat to the area between cheek bone and mouth. However, I worry the fat is not hard like her face built before.Maybe, it will swelling but will not lift up.
Now she weigh 90 pounds.Look so thin.If she gain weight,Is the buccal pad is better? How about her face, is it have fat again after along time, or gaining weight
Plese. help her if you know something about her phoblem?
Thanks

I must say that is so cruel to say your sister has a big face. Ha, Ha, Ha, I'm just kidding honey. Please don't take me serious. Fact is, I have a really fat face myself and I am thinking of either facial liposuction or buccal fat removal. First I will answer your question and then I will ask you mine. I don't know that if she gains or lose weight if it will be a difference. Last time I checked, plastic surgeon sites said that liposuction is usually a permanent thing especially facial liposuction. So, don't quote me on this, research and see for yourself and then in the mean time, have your sister try to eat a little more than usual for about 6 months, if there is no change in her face or if her face has not gained weight, then by all means she should go for the fat grafting. And as for the buccal fat pad removal, I'm not sure I understood your question concerning this but I think you were trying to say if buccal fat pad would have been a better choice for her to have chosen. If this is what you were trying to say then my answer is maybe. Because to my understanding, buccal fat removal removes the fat pad in your upper cheeks. If her upper cheeks is bigger than her lower cheeks, then yes buccal fat removal would have been a better choice but if both her upper and lower cheeks is very fat, then facial liposuction is the way to go. Now my question, did your sisters surgeon use the Tumescent liposuction technique? And did your sisters surgeon use a thin
tube or cannula?
tube or cannula?

My sister surgeon used a thin tube.I thinks that is liposuction technique.
My sister was too slim before ( about 88 pounds ).She dont want to gain weight because her face will become bigger. So, She decided to reduce fat of her face. Now, She still slim now.You know, I just worry will she have a small face with a big body if she gain weight?

As I know fat grafting is a good way but you can't retain fat permanently. How about other materials such as collagen, botox. Is collagen a safe material?

No, I'm not sure if it's a safe material but do some research about it. That's how I know so much about plastic surgery becuase of my searches, definitions, etc... But let me ask you something. As I said to you, I am thinking of having facial liposuction in the next couple of months but I want to make the right choice as to which surgeon I choose. So let me ask you two questions. How did your sister choose her surgeon? Was it after two consultations with two different doctors or the minute she saw her surgeon, she chose him to do her facial liposuction? Second, other than the fact that your sister feels that her surgeon removed too much fat from her face, can she make facial expressions? You know can she smile or laugh? Okay, please answer both questions. Thanks

My sister choose the surgeon who implanted her chin.My sister felt unhappy , look older becaude her surgeon removed too much fat.If you want to have facial liposuction you sould discuss carefully with you surgeon .For example: how much fat you want to get 20cc or more which depend on your face and your option. If you take too much your skin is not elastic.

Did your sister get facial liposuction or buccal fat pad removal? Those are two different procedures from what I understand. Facial liposuction is getting rid of the cheek fat that is more superficial and buccal fat pad removal is going in from the inside of the mouth and removing a pocket of fat that's underneath the cheekbone. I'm considering buccal fat pad removal and I was wondering which one gave your sister unsatisfactory results.

Well, initially I wanted both facial liposuction and buccal fat pad removal but now after a consultation I just came from, he said that I should just go for buccal fat removal, chin liposuction and the Brow Lift because he said that facial liposuction can leave you without the ability to smile or nerve damage BUT when I checked it out and did my research about buccal fat removal verses facial liposuction the RISKS for both of these procedures are exactly the same. The same risks for facial liposuction with loss of nerve is the same for buccal fat removal. And if you are really upset at your appearance like I am, you got to take that risk. You can't live life un-happy. So it really to me doesn't make a difference. Like I said in another post, ALL COSMETIC SURGERY IS A RISK. You just got to do your research, hopefully choose a good plastic surgeon and pray that every thing turns out fine. The only reason why I agree with this surgeon that all I need is buccal fat removal is because I MAY GET IT DONE FOR FREE through my insurance. Because I told him that my face is so fat that when I talk, I bite on my cheeks. And that is not a lie. Other than that, all surgery is a risk, you just got to pray every thing turns out okay.
